Monday Jun 08, 2015
In this episode of the Lions of Liberty Podcast, host Marc Clair welcomes in author Nomi Prins to discuss her latest book "All the President's Bankers", an incredibly thorough look at the crony relationship between major banking elites and the U.S. Presidency in modern history. Ms Prins details how her early career in the banking industry exposed her to the behind the scenes machinations of bankers and politicians, and explains what drove her to dig deeper and expose the corruption. Nomi and Marc discuss the 2008 financial crisis, and how both the Bush and Obama administrations helped keep their allies in the banking industry afloat. Other topics discussed include the formation of the Federal Reserve, how banks profit from wars, the Glass-Steagall Act, and just what can be done to disrupt the never-ending crony cycle between banks and government. Be sure not to miss this revealing discussion, and stick around for Marc's wrap-up rant!
