In this episode of the Lions of Liberty Podcast, Marc Clair welcomes back Brian McWilliams and mysterious legal counsel Rico for a roundtable touching on multiple topics, one of which is the unavoidable spectacle of the Hulk Hogan sex tape civil case. The puns fly fast and furious as they examine the verdict and discuss the issues of personal privacy at hand. Following the Hulktastic dialogue, the group turns to the North Carolina Religious Freedom legislation and the insane reaction from Emory students and staff to chalked in "Trump 2016" slogans on campus.

{Warning: Todays' episode contains fairly extensive use of adult language. We blame our guests...)
It's Thanksgiving week, and in this episode we give our thanks like only we know how - by getting together with friends to talk liberty over a few adult beverages! No, it's not just another edition of "Libertarians in Living Rooms Drinking Liquor" - it's our very first crossover podcast, as we join forces with our good friends at the "Johnny Rocket Launch Pad" for a Liberty Thanksgiving Spectacular like never before!
Marc Clair is joined by Lions' co-founders Brian McWilliams and John Odermatt, along with the Launch Pad crew of Johnny "Rocket" Adams, Curt Nelson, and Heather Nixon. After Johnny and Marc try to sort out just whose show this is exactly, the crew finally gets into some liberty talk. They touch on welfare, the minimum wage, Rand Paul, and the candidates for the Libertarian nomination for President. They then attempt to decipher just what political party Marvel and DC superheroes belong to, and try to answer the age old question: Is Professor X a libertarian?
So pour yourself a beverage, sneak a slide of pumpkin pie early and join us for, if nothing else, the most ridiculous semi-political conversation you've ever been privy to!

In today's episode, host Marc Clair welcomes in economist and author Steve Horwitz on his recent article entitled "Don't Smash the State." But first Steve reveals how he first became introduced to the ideas of liberty, Steve and Marc discuss how works of fiction can often be the impetus towards a further philosophical pursuit. Steve explains why he embraced the idea of "pushing the button" to "end the State" overnight when he was a young libertarian, and just what insights made him start to believe this idea might have flaws.
Steve describes his preferred analogy for the state as a "bomb", whose wires must be pulled in the correct order, lest the bomb go off. He explains the reason why he advocates for a measured rollback of coercive legislation, both strategically and morally. Steve and Marc examine some of the first "wires" that could be pulled, and the possible ramifications of pulling the wrong one too early.
In the Last Roar (32:00), Marc explains why it's important for those who advocate for individual liberty to have proper political priorities (sorry, I just can't resist an alliteration opportunity).

Marc and Bobby discuss the video projects which led to "Unsustainable", and talk about everything from climate change to patent reform along the way.

In this episode of the Lions of Liberty Podcast, we convene another session of our oh-so-jovial feature, "Libertarians in Living Rooms Drinking Liquor!" Host Marc Clair welcomes in fellow liquored-up libertarians John “Odie” Odermatt, our legal counsel Rico, and a very special guests, the original "Blue Republican" himself, Robin Koerner! As per usual, the show begins with the gang revealing their drinks of choice.
Robin then kicks off the discussion by plugging Rand Paul's upcoming appearance in his home city of Seattle. This leads to a greater conversation about Rand Paul's campaign, and why he doesn't seem to be connecting with voters as Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders are today, and as did his father before him. Robin explains why it is vital for a Presidential candidate to connect with a sense of injustice within the electorate, and how Rand Paul could cater his message to that effect.
The crew discusses messaging in politics, and how the Libertarian Party could learn lessons from the UK's UKIP Party, as Robin details how they rapidly rose to relevance in UK politics. They discuss media bias, and how large media organizations in both the US and the UK influence the political views of their respective citizens.
The conversation then pivots to Hillary Clinton, and whether the current email scandal will derail her campaign or even find her behind bars. And finally, as things wind down the topic turns to professional wrestling and how it mirrors the political theater we see every day, and the crew ponders whether they would support an all pro-wrestler ticket of Jesse "the Body" Ventura and Glenn "Kane" Jacobs.
So sit back, grab a drink, and hang with the Libertarians in Living Rooms Drinking Liquor!
