The Lions of Liberty have a special treat for liberty lovers this week as Marc and Brian delve into what some controversially consider the top "libertarian" candidate in the 2016 presidential race: Ted Cruz.
Yes, that Ted Cruz, who has garnered some curious support from the liberty sector. Is that support deserved? Brian and Marc will break down Cruz' positions, his actions in the Senate and in the debates plus look at his history and make their definitive judgements. Is Ted "Cruzin" or "Bruisin?" And an even better question: should they have called this podcast "Cruz Control?" The world may never know.

In the latest Lions of Liberty debate reaction show, Marc Clair gathers a pride of liberty lions to break down the third Democratic Debate. Marc welcomes in Lions regulars Brian McWilliams and Howie Snowdon, along with special guest, the original Blue Republican, Robin Koerner! They discuss Hillary Clinton's masterful ability to avoid actually answering questions, how Bernie Sanders is able to tap into a commonly held sense of economic injustice, and look at the pros and cons of Martin O'Malley. Even in discussing a Democratic debate, the conversation inevitably turns to Donald Trump and how he is capturing so much attention with his masterful use of bold statements and general wizardry. They cap things off with some bold predictions for how the Democratic wing of the election cycle might play out.

In today's episode, host Marc Clair is joined by the leader of the Libertarian Party of Canada, Tim Moen! Tim discusses how a re-examination of his religious beliefs and a literal fear of being sent to hell propelled him to seek truth in the world, which has led him to a belief in individual liberty. Tim discusses how he approaches talking to Canadians about liberty, and the sacrilege topic of whether or not Canadians should have universal health care. Marc and Tim discuss common misconceptions many people hold about libertarians, and give his thoughts on the new government under Justin Trudeau, Canada's new "anti-terror" law, and makes his pitch for why Canadians who hold a belief in liberty should become involved with the Libertarian Party of Canada.

In today's episode, Marc Clair welcomes in quite possibly one of the most interesting men on the planet - creator of McAfee Antivirus, "eccentric millionaire" and now Presidential candidate, John McAfee! In this compelling discussion, McAfee describes the largely unaddressed dangers posed to the American people, from seemingly harmless apps spying on our everyday lives to the greater cyber security threats posed by China and Russia. Marc probes John's views on topics important to libertarians, from foreign policy to the FDA to the War on Drugs. McAfee lays out his case for why he is uniquely equipped to deal with the very real threats to our way of life and why he is confident he can and will become the President of the United States in 2016.
This may be the most fascinating interview in Lions of Liberty history - don't miss a second of it!

In this episode of the Lions of Liberty Podcast, we featured the much-awaited return of "Libertarians in Living Rooms Drinking Liquor!" Host Marc Clair welcomes in fellow liquored-up Lions of Liberty co-founders Brian McWilliams and John Odermatt to give their instant reaction to the very first Democratic presidential debate of the 2016 election cycle. They give their slightly tipsy take on all the candidates - Hill Dawg, Bernie Sanders, Mike O'Malley, Jim Webb and yes, even Lincoln Chafee. Fueled by adult beverages and a passion for liberty, this trio of Lions has a raucous time looking at the contenders of the Donkey crown. Enjoy!

In today's episode, host Marc Clair welcomes in economist and author Steve Horwitz on his recent article entitled "Don't Smash the State." But first Steve reveals how he first became introduced to the ideas of liberty, Steve and Marc discuss how works of fiction can often be the impetus towards a further philosophical pursuit. Steve explains why he embraced the idea of "pushing the button" to "end the State" overnight when he was a young libertarian, and just what insights made him start to believe this idea might have flaws.
Steve describes his preferred analogy for the state as a "bomb", whose wires must be pulled in the correct order, lest the bomb go off. He explains the reason why he advocates for a measured rollback of coercive legislation, both strategically and morally. Steve and Marc examine some of the first "wires" that could be pulled, and the possible ramifications of pulling the wrong one too early.
In the Last Roar (32:00), Marc explains why it's important for those who advocate for individual liberty to have proper political priorities (sorry, I just can't resist an alliteration opportunity).
