FF 102 - Felon Convicted of Attempted Murder Petitions Gov Kasich for Pardon
Friday Dec 15, 2017
Friday Dec 15, 2017
On today's episode of Felony Friday Aaron David Seidel joins host John Odermatt to share why he's fighting for Ohio Governor John Kasich to grant him a full pardon. In August of 2004 Aaron, at 18 years old, was convicted of one count of attempted murder, for the shooting of his then step-father.
Aaron was sentenced to five years in prison, and was released in 2009. The five-year sentence was a reflection of the mitigating circumstances which lead to the shooting. Since the commission of his crime, Aaron has committed to a life of self-actualization through the service of others.
While still in prison, Aaron passed his GED exam and attended college at Marion Technical Center in business management. Aaron is currently finishing his undergraduate degree in both environmental geoscience, and applied mathematics. He has ambitions to go to graduate school or join the military. However, the walls that society builds around those with a criminal record is holding Aaron back from reaching his full potential. This is why Aaron is petitioning Ohio Governor John Kasich for a full pardon. Aaron has aspirations to get his PhD., he wants to be the best man he can be for his family and maximize his contributions to the world.

ELL 47: Electric Libertyland Thanksgiving Extravaganza Especiale!
Wednesday Nov 22, 2017
Wednesday Nov 22, 2017
On this very special Thanksgiving edition of Electric Libertyland (episode 47), Brian welcomes in the drunken Lions of Liberty family: Marc Clair and John Odermatt, as well as extended liberty family from the Johnny Rocket Launchpad! Yes, Johnny "Rocket" Adams and Curt Nelson bring holiday cheers, jeers, and highly inappropriate humor to the liberty dining table, as has become our annual tradition.
The gang gets into discussions on the "It's OK to be White" college sign flap, who's the biggest liberty turkey of the year, how absurdly sad and inconvenient a local Libertarian Party meeting location was, and then get down and dirty with rounds of "Cats Cradle" and "RocketFire" questions, which brings the issue of "who will build the space roads??" to bear. It's a whole lot of family dysfunction, just like in your own home!

ELL 42: America's #MeToo Problem
Wednesday Oct 18, 2017
Wednesday Oct 18, 2017
On this week's Electric Libertyland, Brian takes a long hard look at the mutation and obfuscation occurring in the fallout from the Harvey Weinstein allegations and the #MeToo hashtag trending on Twitter. Originally created to give sexually assaulted women a voice, the transformation of the hashtag's users showcases how far the Democrats will go to move attention away from Clinton, and America's real "Me, Too" problem, which has nothing to do with sexual assault.
Brian then looks to the ironically named Liberty Act, which seeks to keep the worst of the domestic spying apparatus intact, the bombshell revelation that the FBI knew about Clinton/Russia bribes and money during Obama admin, the New York Times hiring a "gender editor" and finishes up with a well-deserved rant about kids Halloween costumes being considered cultural appropriation.
