332. Is Donald Trump a Disaster for Libertarianism?
Monday Jan 29, 2018
Monday Jan 29, 2018
In today's episode, Marc hosts a lively debate between two prominent libertarian heavyweights - Robert Wenzel of Economic Policy Journal and Target Liberty and Walter Block, Professor of Economics on Loyola University in New Orleans and Senior Fellow at the Ludwig Von Mises Institute. They spar over the resolved statement "Donald Trump is a Disaster for Libertarianism." Wenzel argues in the affirmative, while Block argues the opposing view. This is a knock-down drag-out slobberknocker of a show that you won't want to miss!

329. The Roar of an Economic Hitman
Monday Jan 08, 2018
Monday Jan 08, 2018
In this week's episode of the flagship Lions of Liberty podcast, Marc is joined by the fascinating John Perkins, author of "Confessions of an Economic Hitman" and the updated "New Confessions of an Economic Hitman." John describes how he was recruited by the NSA and targetted as a potential EHM, or "Economic Hitman", where his job was to travel the world, wooing world leaders with fancy economic projections and promises of prosperity in order to convince them to accept crippling loans and debt they could never repay.
Libertarians often concern themselves with foreign intervention, most often focusing on military conflict. But in this show, John Perkins provides a deeper look at an even more insidious level of conflict, the chaos created by EHM's around the world. John goes on to detail just how he had a spiritual awakening regarding the insidious nature of his profession, and what led him to speak out and in his NY Times bestselling "Confessions of an Economic Hitman."
This is one interview you are not going to want to miss!

ELL 47: Electric Libertyland Thanksgiving Extravaganza Especiale!
Wednesday Nov 22, 2017
Wednesday Nov 22, 2017
On this very special Thanksgiving edition of Electric Libertyland (episode 47), Brian welcomes in the drunken Lions of Liberty family: Marc Clair and John Odermatt, as well as extended liberty family from the Johnny Rocket Launchpad! Yes, Johnny "Rocket" Adams and Curt Nelson bring holiday cheers, jeers, and highly inappropriate humor to the liberty dining table, as has become our annual tradition.
The gang gets into discussions on the "It's OK to be White" college sign flap, who's the biggest liberty turkey of the year, how absurdly sad and inconvenient a local Libertarian Party meeting location was, and then get down and dirty with rounds of "Cats Cradle" and "RocketFire" questions, which brings the issue of "who will build the space roads??" to bear. It's a whole lot of family dysfunction, just like in your own home!
