Felony Friday 060 - Cops Gone Wild in a Small Iowa Town

Friday Feb 24, 2017
Today on Felony Friday Trey Weaver joins host John Odermatt to share stories of personal injustice he's experienced growing up in a small Iowa town. Trey is a libertarian and a dedicated listener of the Lions of Liberty Podcast. A few weeks ago Trey contacted the show to express an interest in sharing some unbelievable stories of profiling, targeting and entrapment that he experienced at the hands of a small town Iowa police force. In one story the police staked out Trey house until he put his trash can on the curb so they could go through his garbage and charge him with a minor marijuana offense. Trey's stories of injustice serve to remind us that so often the worst assault on individual liberty occurs at the local level.
At the end of the show John weighs in on the news conveyed by White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer that the Department of Justice plans on enforcing federal marijuana laws in states that have legalized recreational marijuana.
